WKU DSOC can provide an array of support services to responders in the field during disasters. These services include the following.

Comprehensive weather monitoring for all critical parameters

Track approaching storms including severity analysis, timing, potential impacts, etc.

Develop specific weather profiles and dashboards to forecast potential disruptive and severe level weather events including wind, lightning, hail, tornados, snow, ice, etc.

Deploy remote or on-location support for weather intelligence within any command structure.

Emergency Operations planning, research, operations, and analytical support

Assistance with plan development, review, and modifications to meet changing requirements during disaster operations.

Perform research and advanced analytical functions on a variety of topical areas to provide relevant data required for planning and decision functions.

Provide key operational personnel to assist in needs related to IC/UC and EOC requirements during extended responses.
